San Francisco's Viz Cinema to Show Gurren Lagann Films

U.S. premiere of second movie to be screened this Tuesday, Wednesday

Reminder: The Viz Cinema theater in San Francisco's Japantown will be showing back-to-back subtitled screenings of the two Gurren Lagann movies on November 17 and 18. This will be the American premiere of Gurren Lagann The Movie 2: The Lights in the Sky are Stars. The first movie, Gurren Lagann the Movie –Childhood's End-, originally ran in the same theater back in September.

The two movies retell the story of the 2007 Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann science-fiction television series with some newly animated footage. Bandai Entertainment brought the original television series to North America on DVD and on the Syfy Channel (through Manga Entertainment).
